When tragedy strikes, it can take a severe toll on you and your family. Needless to say, there may be physical challenges to commencing and completing a claim. However, what our experience shows is that there are emotional challenges caused by stress, grief and anxiety that may affect you getting the financial support when you and your family need it the most.
If you have insurance it is important to know that should the worst happen, we are in your corner. We provide this through a Claims Assistance Service. What does this mean? At times the paperwork can be overwhelming and dealing with an insurer can be difficult at the best of times. If you do have a claim we will:
- Conduct our investigative meeting
- Notify the insurer
- Assist you to obtain and complete the correct paperwork
- Assist you to collect the supporting documentation that the insurer will require
- If we need to, visit you at home or in hospital to ensure smooth claims processing
- Act as your liaison with the insurance company’s claims manager and medical professionals and continue in this role until your claim is completed
- Discuss the next steps beyond claim payment and the services that may be available to you
If we advise over your policies and you are an ongoing service client, you receive this service at no extra charge. If they are held away policies or you are not currently a client of Today Advice, you can still engage us to act on your behalf. Please see our fee guide for further details.
